C&D Steel & Iron Invited to the 2025 Asia Iron Ore Summit

Recently, the 2025 (4th) Asia Iron Ore Summit—jointly hosted by the Metallurgical Council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (MC-CCPIT) and Mysteel—was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. C&D Steel & Iron Group, a subsidiary of C&D Inc. (600153.SH), attended the summit upon invitation.

Centered on the global pattern of steel raw materials and the steel industry’s green and low-carbon transition, this year’s summit focused on four major themes, including Raw Material Demand Patterns Under Regional Development, Development of Green Steel Industry, Marginal Growth Structure of Global Iron Ore Supply, and Opportunities in Iron Ore Trade and Circulation. The summit gathered representatives from governments, industry associations, and leading enterprises across China, Southeast Asia, India, Brazil, and other countries and regions, who jointly explored short-term market movements, long-term industrial trends, pathways for green transformation, and new supply-chain opportunities amid macro-economic volatility.

At the summit, Cui Qin, Director of the Ferrous Metal Research Institute of C&D Steel & Iron Group, delivered a keynote speech titled “Global Steel & Ore Outlook Under Macro Fluctuations”. Drawing on macro perspectives such as global economic cycles, policy shifts across major economies, and cross-commodity price linkages, Cui provided a systematic analysis of the phased market characteristics and long-term evolution of the steel and iron ore sectors.

With the deepening of regional economic and trade cooperation and the acceleration of green innovation, in the future, C&D Steel & Iron will, with a broader vision and more determined actions, work together with its industrial chain partners to promote the sustainable prosperity of the steel industry in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
