C&D Paper & Pulp and China National Household Paper Industry Association Jointly Establish the Industry’s First Carbon Footprint Accounting Platform

On March 19, during the 2025 Shanghai Pulp Week Annual Conference, C&D Inc. (600153.SH) Paper & Pulp Group and the China National Household Paper Industry Association held a signing ceremony to jointly build the Carbon Footprint Accounting Platform for the entire pulp, paper, and paper product supply chain.

This platform is the first in China that adopts the China-Eu content consistency standard to conduct carbon footprint accounting for the entire industrial chain of pulp, paper and paper products. It can complete carbon footprint accounting for the entire life cycle of various products, including forestry planting, pulp and paper, paper packaging and products, etc. This platform can not only promote the green transformation of China's pulp and paper industry, but also contribute to the realization of the "dual carbon" goals. It is also an important tool for breaking down green trade barriers (such as the EU carbon tariff) and enhancing the green discourse power of "Made in China".

Previously, C&D Paper & Pulp participated in the formulation of an environmental footprint accounting standard alongside leading domestic and international companies in pulping, shipping, papermaking chemicals, paper packaging sectors, etc. This standard remains the only one in China that has achieved content consistency and mutual recognition agreements with EU standards. Building on this foundation, C&D Paper & Pulp took the lead in offering carbon footprint accounting services through its "E-pulp" platform, releasing the country’s first carbon footprint accounting platform. This milestone enabled precise carbon emission calculations across the full lifecycle of pulping, papermaking, and paper product manufacturing — marking a first for the industry.

The Carbon Footprint Accounting Platform will be launched on “PaperSource” and other platforms, and gradually expand to serve the entire pulp and paper ecosystem, providing strong digital support for enterprises in their green transformation efforts.
