The 1st Global Summit of Chinese Enterprises Held in Singapore: C&D Inc. Gains Wide Attention as a Leading Representative

Recently, the First Global Going Out Summit and 2024 China Industry Summit Forum was held at the National University of Singapore, attracting nearly a thousand entrepreneurs and scholars from around the world to discuss new trends and opportunities for overseas enterprises. Cheng Dongfang, Vice General Manager of C&D Inc. and General Manager of C&D Steel & Iron Group, represented Xiamen's supply chain enterprises and shared insights based on C&D's steel supply chain practices. He summarized and formulated the "Three principles and seven trends of supply chain going global". Cheng emphasized stated that enterprises going overseas must have the belief of “going out” and not lose their direction in a complex environment; they must have the ability of “specialization” to find marketing value in global competition; they must have the business thinking of “localization” to solve obstacles according to local conditions.

In the process of international business, opportunities and challenges coexist. From the perspective of C&D Inc.'s supply chain business, Cheng suggested that Chinese enterprises pay attention to the seven major trends of fighting - "From globalization to regional globalization" "From simple trade to supply chain operations" "From supply chain to industry chain" "From output going overseas to capacity going overseas" "Talent is always the key" "Green and low-carbon is always the trend" "Our heart always belongs to China ".

C&D Steel & Iron Group, a core division of C&D Inc.'s supply chain, has developed over nearly 20 years to handle over 60 million tons of steel annually, import over 45 million tons of iron ore, and generate revenue exceeding 260 billion yuan.
