A new chapter of internationalization: grand opening of C&D Japan Inc. in Japan

On the morning of July 27, C&D Japan Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Xiamen C&D Inc. (600153.SH), held a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony in Tokyo, Japan.
Lin Mao, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and General Manager of C&D Inc., addressed the ceremony via video. According to Lin, C&D Japan serves as a new bridge for Xiamen enterprises to set up business in Japan and for Japanese enterprises to invest in Xiamen, and will further strengthen its research on the Japanese market and exchanges with relevant important industries, so as to contribute to the economic growth of China and Xiamen.
Mr. Song Yaoming, Minister of Economic and Commercial Office, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Japan, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He highly affirmed C&D Inc.'s remarkable achievements attained in supply chain business over the recent years and its advantageous standing in this industry, and raised valuable suggestions and earnest hopes for C&D Inc.'s future business development in Japan from macro and micro levels, with a focus on trade and investment.
Setting up C&D Japan in Japan is an important layout for C&D Inc. to accelerate its internationalization. C&D has been cooperating with major Japanese comprehensive companies including Mitsubishi Corporation, Marubeni, Hanwa, Sumitomo Corporation, Mitsui and Itochu Corporation in the supply chain for nearly 30 years. In the future, C&D Japan will focus on business in Japan and develop import, export, and inter-trade between China, Southeast Asian countries, and RCEP member countries.
China and Japan have established an important partnership in economic and trade cooperation, with a huge volume of bilateral trade. C&D Inc. is looking forward to partnering with those with insight from various sectors in China and Japan to seize development opportunities, make full use of the advantages of bilateral complementarity, and further strengthen cooperation in supply chain business, so as to boost the long-term stable and healthy development and realize the common prosperity of the two countries.
