C&D Inc. Ranks No. 686 on the List of "2020 Forbes Global Listed Companies 2000"

On May 13, Forbes released its list of the world's top 2000 listed companies in 2020. This year, C&D Inc. ranked 686th in the global ranking, up 200 places from 2019, thanks to its solid growth in operating income, profit and asset size, and has been included in the ranking for nine consecutive years.

Forbes magazine ranks the world's largest, most influential and most valuable companies annually based on a combination of sales, profits, assets and market capitalization. The "Forbes Global Listed Companies 2000" is regarded as one of the most authoritative and closely watched rankings of commercial enterprises in the world.

In 2020, the companies on the list have revenues of $42.3 trillion, profits of $3.3 trillion, assets of $201.4 trillion and market capitalization of $54.3 trillion. Sales and assets were higher than last year, but profits and market capitalization were lower. A total of 367 Chinese companies ranked the list this year, with 266 from the mainland, 58 from Hong Kong and 43 from Taiwan.

Andrea Murphy, Forbes statistics editor, said: "The outbreak has caused market volatility that has severely affected the market capitalizations of companies on the list. The market value of companies on this list is calculated using the price figures as of April 30. A company needs a market capitalization of at least $5.27 billion to be considered for inclusion. That's down from $6.25 billion last year."
